It is nice, but…
The stories overall are nice, free of sex and foul language and have sweet endings. The extended epilogues are included, which made a nice change. Unfortunately the editing is very poor. There are numerous errors and inconsistencies in all 3 books. These books could be so much better with better editing.April 25, 2025

How not to Treat Your Child
Save us from unfeeling Regency parents! You love to hate the parents, especially the fathers (although a grandmother & a mother give the fathers a run for their money), in these stories. Spunky heroines who overcome roadblocks erected by parents. The three books (“The Earl’s Bargain for a Second Chance”, “An Arranged Betrothal with a Rogue”, and “A Convenient Christmas Proposal”) provide an interesting view of life in Regency England and the life of daughters. Overall, a fun, dreamy collection of stories! A Convenient Christmas Proposal Scarlett’s sister married for love and Scarlett dreamed of the day she would get to do that, too. But then her cold, cruel father destroys that dream by forcing her into an engagement to a man she had never met. An Arranged Betrothal with a Rogue Honoria, Clayton, and Grace. The rumors about Viscount Durant were just horrible! But Honoria says that even being married to a rogue like him would be better than being married to the horrible Lord Mondale! Be careful what you wish for! I especially like the ending with the name chosen. The Earl’s Bargain for a Second Chance Blissfully in love and expecting a promised proposal, Isabella experiences searing heartbreak when Luke suddenly ends their relationship. Three books in one
These three books were so nice to read, the only problem I had was I usually whip through a book pretty quick but with these three, I wanted to go slow and take my time. The first one is about a lady named Scarlett whose father arranges a marriage kind of on the sly. Without going a lot into it, Scarletts’s mother is out of town and unaware that her father did this. The second book is the one that I really wanted to slow down with. This one is about Honoria who is forced to wed Clayton, a rogue who is trying to be a better person. I really enjoyed this book the most out of the three. The third book is about a widow Isabella, who is just trying to find love. These three books are great to just sit back and relax and read. An acurate depiction of an Era
Lovely stories. The first stories there were some character problems. There was some confusion about rank and how one person was related to the other. I did enjoy all three stories. The stories were accurate to the time and they pull the reader in. In the end all went well but not without a struggle.April 19, 2025

The Way Of The Time
These stories are of a time when ladies generally didn’t have any say in who they would marry, and if their fathers were, they type that wanted to use them for their own gain they would usually find themselves in a loveless marriage. Each story portrays a lady that find themselves in circumstances that they didn’t want. Fabulous
Another outstanding box set from this author. Each one of these books are friends to the readers. Full of drama, love, intrigue, society, family, friends, twists and marriage. The characters are all multidimensional with with struggles that they need to solve. What a real page turner. Loved the Christmas Proposal story and just that time of year.
