Nice change of plot
It was nice to read a totally different kind of love story than the others books. Each book represented its own challenges for the couple to overcome and yet they were all challenges of the times. Very nice ending to the series. I’m glad they kept reminding the reader who was related to who, since there are more characters to keep track of in this book.May 3, 2025

Good story with interesting characters!
This was a sweet historical romance with interesting and relatable characters and I loved the main female character, Pippa! I love that even though she was bullied by her own mother and by certain members of the Ton (regarding who she was to marry), she stood her ground. I read this as a stand alone and while I enjoyed the story, I am definitely going to read the previous books in the series. Happy ending to a series
I enjoyed the ending to this series. The heroine is being pushed by her mother to make an advantageous match as they are basically penniless. I didn’t like her mother much, but understood her drive. Love at First Sight vs. Manipulation
Pippa and Nathan don’t have an easy time reaching their Happy Ending, but of course that is what makes the story worth reading. After Pippa’s father died, her mother turns into a demanding harpy when she decides Pippa must marry to save them. From that point the reader is led through her mother’s ludicrous scheme for Pippa to marry a title. Pippa builds her resolve to refuse her mother’s plan because she has hopes of her own. Nathan is endearing as a not-too-sure of himself suitor. The Spinster’s Stolen Heart has you rooting for the young couple as they avoid manipulation and interference.April 15, 2025

I really enjoyed this well written book. The main characters were easy to relate to, and were kind, genuine people. The adversaries were nuanced, some worse than others, all bad for Pippa and Nathan’s future. I especially appreciated that there was no click here for the extended epilogue. The father of Pippa Randall passed away leaving her, and her mother Lady Bridget Randall Viscountess with almost nothing to live on. After struggling for a two years they are on their last few dollars. They go to London to the Viscountess brothers home looking for help. He just recently passed away too. If her nephew doesn’t help them they have no where else to turn. This is just the beginning of such a great journey, and the happenings that Pippa had to face with her hard possessed mother. Well written to bring up strong emotions along with the characters.
There’s nothing like the pressure of a power-hungry mother to add stress to your life. It could lead a daughter to make choices that are sure to leave her miserable for the rest of her life, even when she can almost taste the sweetness of an opposite choice. Fantastic ending
What a way to finish a series. Very well written, full of everything you need to keep turning the pages. The storyline was perfect for these two characters. Pippa and Nathan are both strong, level headed but she needed a little push to away her mother and not listen to her. Nathan’s mother was almost as bad. Both are on a personal journey of learning and loving. Glad that they get their happily ever after. Would strongly recommend this story and the rest of the series. This is a lovely clean series. The premise of the story is the intense struggle within the ton between marriages of love vs those for social and monetary upward mobility. Fabulous ending
Fabulous ending to the Willenshires saga! I’m glad I didn’t read the first ARC sent out, because I saw none of the errors mentioned by others; in fact, kudos to Ms Sheldon for fixing all the boo-boos. The Pippa and Nathan characters were interesting; I particularly appreciated how Pippa learned to listen to her heart rather than choosing the path set out by her mother. I felt rather sad for her mother – widowed and penniless, fear overcame her for her daughter’s future. I also found the conclusion with William to be a touching finale. Well done!April 9, 2025

This is a great read by an author that never disappoints me. I really have enjoyed all of her historical romances. In this book, the female character, Pippa Randall, is thought to be a spinster with a wicked mother who tried to set her up with a horrible old man. Pippa meets a viscount, Lord Nathan Whitmore, who she has found to be much more of someone she would like to marry. The story goes along with parents trying to tell their children who to marry and sticking their noses in their lives. Luckily, Pippa and Nathan have good heads on their shoulders and do what they want to do.April 8, 2025

A nice ending to the series
Pippa, a cousin to the Willenshire siblings, has fallen on hard times after the death of her father. She and her mother, now destitute, seek help from the only family they have left and find themselves welcomed by the now happily married Willenshires. This story focuses on the struggle between marrying for love, and seeking what was considered at the time to be a socially sought after marriage to someone of title, power, and fortune. Pippa’s two main options are clear from the beginning, and it’s obvious that only one of the two gentlemen will ever make her happy. Nathan, struggles to find a way to press his suit as Pippa’s mother becomes increasingly focused on winning the suit of a gentleman of superior rank. Everything works out in the end, but on our way to a happy ending we discover a truly horrible side of Pippa’s mother. She has several evil stepmother moments and the fact that the relationship between her and her daughter was salvaged in the end is almost unrealistic given the nature of her earlier behavior. Overall, this clean, sweet story is a nice ending to the Willenshire series.April 6, 2025

When Pippa Randall’s father dies and leaves them without enough money to keep them going her mother insists she marry a man with a title and money. The man she wants her to marry is a man Pippa can not stand but Pippa has met Nathaniel a man of a lesser title but one she has come to love. Will she be strong enough to stand up to her mother and find her happy ending or will her determined mother take away her happiness? Poor editing
The issue isn’t really with the story, but with the glaring inconsistencies and editing errors. For example, the story is about the Willenshire family, but in this book they are suddenly the Willoughbys instead. Dowager Dutchess is named Mary in the first 4 books and in this book her name is changed to Matilda. Kat is Katherine in the 1st 4 books, spelling is changed to Katharine in this one. Then there are just weird sentences with words left out or added in so the sentence makes no sense. Please Dorothy Sheldon, unpublish this book, correct the obvious editing problems, and republish so your story can be enjoyed. Thank you.April 4, 2025
