Ladies Seeking Justice
Sophia, the daughter of a Baron and her friend Grace, whose father was a Cambridge professor, were colleagues in a secret endeavor to seek Justice among the upper classes. Henry, the Duke of Atherly (I’m sure that spelled wrong…) is helping his younger sister with her debut as both parents are gone, and his father under mysterious circumstances. Considering that the two young ladies mentioned the mysterious circumstances in their scandal pages, it was inconvenient for Henry and Sophie to fall in love. I very much enjoyed this regency romance, as it had a Scooby Doo kind of mystery vibe, which I found charming. Five stars.May 30, 2025

When Writing is Dangerous
This is the fourth book, by Amanda Stones, that I have read. I did enjoy it. It is very well-written and kept my interest as the relationship between Sophia and Duke Henry developed. There was mystery, danger, abductions and corruption before the villains were brought to justice. I am looking forward to reading Amanda’s next story.March 24, 2025

Not Everything Should Be Overheard
Miss Sophia Rutland walks among the ton unnoticed while she listens to people talking to collect information for her scandal sheet. When her path crosses Duke Henry Atherton, where he is much talked about, she decides to see what she can found out about him. The duke protects his family’s privacy as his father died under mysterious circumstances where it was indicated he was doing nefarious activities. He found Sophia interesting and even though he felt he couldn’t get involved with investigating his father, but he couldn’t help himself. Who is Lady Whispers? That’s what the Duke of Atherley would like to know. Things she’s written about his father couldn’t be true. Sophia Rutland has learned to be invisible which helps her get information since she and her friend Grace write as Lady Whisper. When Sophia found out how devastated the Duke was after he read her article she wanted to do something to make up for it. This book is filled with hidden secrets, corruption and exploitation.
