Boring and childish
A totally ridiculous and mundane story. I felt like we were dealing with 13-year-olds, filled with lots and lots of just stupid conversations that were pointless. So much repetition that it just was plain boring. If it wasn’t for my OCD, I would’ve threw in the trash.July 6, 2025

A very good series, but I do wish the author would use a Thesaurus to find other words for wretched. It’s used way too much.June 1, 2025

This book deserves 6 stars….
The book caught my attention from the first chapter in which a shocking and dramatic event sets in motion a cruel will that acts as a ticking-time bomb that could forever destroy the happiness of Katherine and her family. Under the immense weight thrust upon her shoulders, Katherine rises with strength and a firm determination to maintain her independence. Pros: * There were so many beautiful scenes in this book – such as the Shakespearian play and the masquerade. * I loved that Katherine and Timothy connected over literature. * Timothy was a breathe of fresh air. He was sensitive and thoughtful in the most wonderful ways. * The ending was perfect. Cons: * It will be hard to wait to read the rest of the series!!! I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving my review.March 15, 2024
