Save yourself the read unless Author revises
It almost became a DNF, it was very rushed, often times seeming to have large spaces in pages just to make the page count longer. I usually don’t review books but felt compelled to do so on this one. I almost gave it a one ?? but I am hoping the author will come back and fix this book. It drove me insane of all the times the words “he or she said”, I even started counting. I think this would have been better if more beta readers would have been enacted to help with such grammatical errors and ask for depth. – World building (if I could give negative I would) but just 1 out of 5??, it was very rushed, practically required you to have read or watched Bridgerton series to create your own. – Drama and angst 1 of 5 ?? the character development was severely lacking, so what they read three books and three authors were their favorites, one library scene to make them fall in love?! And then the “incident” and a small explanation just made everything ok?!? Too fast paced, not enough explanation, not enough building. I don’t understand why some people were like great and wonderful, they obviously didn’t read the same thing as I did. – Had the makings of becoming a great hit, 2 stars ?? ??, I loved the title and it had made me think this might be good. I do believe with some work it could be but needs much more details, more scenes with the MC’s getting to know and learn each other. More plot and character development. Book left everything severely lacking. I do not like being mean but I would love to see the author come back and add like 20 more chapters to tell me how main characters got from A to B to C to D instead of A to Z in .5 milliseconds. No spice what so ever in this, it’s not even a bell pepper . You barely get a kiss and it’s not even a great description on that. It’s like receiving a peck on the cheek from your next of kin as you did when you were a kid. The beast part could have been really fleshed out, the come back and ruin of the villains needed more detail, more description and drama needed on everything. Save your self the read until author comes back and fleshes this out more.June 8, 2025
